SHE RIDES ON GREEN
First Principles Coaching is a one-coach business which focuses on road cycling coaching, & strength & conditioning for road cycling fitness & performance. First Principles Coaching is run by Adelaide local, Margaret Boylan. Margaret coaches women of all ages and abilities who want to have fun on their bikes and improve their fitness. She Rides On is proud to partner with First Principles Coaching in a venture that will increase the opportunities for women of Adelaide to ride recreationally in an environment that is social, inclusive and diverse.
She Rides On Green – Powered By First Principles Coaching is a 4 week program starting on Saturday 21st December 2019. The group will meet weekly for an outdoors ride at 7.30am.
The Program caters for graduates of the She Rides Confidence Program & is limited to 6 riders.
Summer in Adelaide is (usually) wonderful with warm days and beautiful countryside to ride in. There are lots of participation rides scheduled in coming months, including the Westpac Challenge Tour during the TDU, which includes 3 different route options starting from 33km. And with the She Rides Spring programs just finished we will take advantage of all this to get some progressive training in ahead of the TDU starting. The program will include an off-bike strength & conditioning component as well. It will cater for graduates of the She Rides Confidence program.
There is an associated program for riders who have graduated from the She Rides Together program. This is called She Rides On Blue & it runs for the same time period. While the two groups will not ride together they are likely to catch up at coffee afterwards to share their ride stories.

The start place will be Hazelwood Park Reserve in the carpark on the corner of Davenport Terrace & Howard Terrace.

All She Rides On Green participants must hold a Cycling Australia Ride Basic, Ride + or Race membership in order to participate in any She Rides On program. To join, please visit the Cycling Australia Membership Page.
All participants must wear helmets in good condition & displaying the AS/NZS 2063 standard sticker.
The program has been specifically designed for graduates of the She Rides Confidence program.
Participants should be She Rides Confidence graduates and as such may use any roadworthy bike with gears, with the exception of a Mountain Bike.

MEET YOUR LEADER: MARGARET BOYLAN
Margaret: Margaret came to Cycling Coaching from a career in law & public administration. In that life, amongst other things, her role involved managing, coaching & mentoring others for many years.
Her coaching philosophy is strength based with a focus on future outcomes and the physical & psychological strengths that the person being coached brings to the process of improving skill, fitness & performance. Margaret’s coaching is underpinned by her values, which also underpin Australian sport – values of fairness, respect, taking responsibility for one’s actions, and a focus on health & safety.
She enjoys coaching as it is an ongoing learning experience, just like cycling itself. She enjoys seeing the people she coaches have fun, expand their comfort zones, achieve their goals and feel a sense of achievement in some way every time they ride.
